Nature + Sound: Wander Inward

Grounded in Nature, Guided by Sound - creating space for Balance, Renewal, and Connection.

Switchback Sessions was born from the understanding that life, like the trail, rarely follows a straight path. The great environmental architect, William Kent, once said, “Nature abhors a straight line”. In its wisdom, it offers us twists, turns, and pauses along the way. A switchback forces us to slow down, to be present, and to trust that even when the path doubles back, it is still carrying us forward. In the same way, Switchback Sessions invites participants to embrace the rhythm of mindful movement, sound, and stillness, honoring the journey as much as the destination.

Each bend in the trail reveals a new perspective- sometimes subtle, sometimes sweeping- and reminds us to lift our eyes, breathe deeply, and take in the view. Switchback Sessions mirrors this unfolding, offering experiences that guide you inward while grounding you in the beauty of the natural world. Here, the climb becomes more than effort; it becomes ceremony. The path, with all its curves, teaches us presence, patience, and the quiet joy of discovery.

"Years ago, my family was handed a curveball when my mom suffered a devastating fall that left her in a coma with multiple skull fractures and a traumatic brain injury. It was a mountain none of us expected to face- and it was terrifying. Together, we dug deep, leaned into resilience, and started the climb.

The following spring, I strapped my bags to my bike and set out across the country. Four months and more than 5,000 miles later, I had pedaled over mountains, through gusting winds and monsoons, past wildflower blooms and sweeping vistas, from ocean to ocean. Somewhere west of Texas, on winding roads and dirt trails, I became the journey. It rooted itself in me- and has guided me ever since."
